Sara Kate Pitts

In the 1881 Census she was dscribed as a servant to the family but also as a scholar. She was born in Muckwell.

Although she seemed to use the name Kate by preference she was christened Sarah Kate.

In 1891 she was visiting 85 year old William Cole, her (step) grandfather at nearby Bickerton.

Sara married William Edmond Partridge, son of William Partridge and Matilda Waller, on 15 Apr 1902 in The Gospel Hall. Kingsbridge, Devon. (William Edmond Partridge was born 1860 - Second Quarter in Woolfardisworthy, Devon.)
