1891 Census:

James Cole (aged 48) described as a farmer (employer) was living in Kernborough, Devon with Sarah Wilmot (Nee Prettejohn) together with Alice Prettejohn (aged 6), a visitor and Ernest Prettejohn (aged 11) working for them as a servant. Both are the children of Edward James Prettejohn and his wife Alice Kittle, at that time living in the east end of London.

James married Sarah Wilmot Prettejohn 1870, June Q in Kingsbridge. (Sarah Wilmot Prettejohn was born 1845, June Q in Portlemouth.)
