The engagement is announced between Hugh Maitland, son of Mr. R.B. Prettejohn, of Park House, Tenby, Pembrokeshire, and Audrey Bride, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Seton Gordon, of Upper Duntuilm, Isle of Skye.

The marriage took place on Saturday at Holy Trinity, Brompton, of Mr. Hugh Maitland Prettejohn of Park House, Tenby, Pembrokeshire, and Miss Audrey Bride Gordon, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Seton Gordon, of Upper Duntuilm, Isle of Skye. Archbishop Lord Lang of Lambeth officiated, assisted by the Rev. Bryan S.W. Green. The bride was given away by her father. Lieutenant Alasdair Seton Gordon, Scots Guards (brother of the bride), was best man. A reception was held at the Hotel Rembrandt.

Hugh married Audrey Bride Gordon, daughter of Seton Gordon and Unknown, on 9 Jun 1945 in Holy Trinity, Brompton.
