Obituary Sir Charles James Freake, of Fulwell Park, Middlesex, and of bank-grove, Kingston-on-Thames, Surrey, died on Monday at his residence, Cromwell House, South Kensington. The deceased, upon whom the baronetcy was conferred in 1882, was the eldest son of the late Mr. Charles Freake, of the parish of St. George's, Hanover-square, and of Margaret Ann Cutler, his wife, and he was born in April 1814. He married in 1844 Eliza Pudsey, eldest daughter of Mr. Charles Wright, one of the Hon. Corps of Gentlemen-at-Arms, and sister of Brigadier-General Sir Thomas Wright, C.B. His son, Mr. Thomas George Freake, who now succeeds to the baronetcy, was born in 1848, and married in 1868 Frederica Charlotte Mary, second daughter of General Frederick Maitland, and great grand-daughter of General the Hon. Sir Alexander Maitland, fifth son of the sixth Earl of Lauderdale.
Charles married Eliza Pudsey Wright, daughter of Charles Wright and Unknown, in 1844.
