In the 1951 Voters List the occupants of South Allington House were Elsie M Pitts, William N.C.H Pitts and Florence E Pitts.
In the early 1960's William sold off the remaining land in the South Hams, and moved to Ireland. Just before the death of his wife, Florence, he moved back to the mainland and settled in Brecknock in Wales where he remained until his death in 1991.
William married Florence Eileen Vickers 1936 Q2 in Totnes Registration District, Devon. (Florence Eileen Vickers died in 1986.)
