Lt. Alfred Paul Barrow Paget, E.G.A. For conspicuous gallantry and devotion to duty. The enemy put down a heavy barrage, but he remained with his section the whole day. One of his guns was hit twice, and all the detachment killed or wounded except two. He brought up a fresh detachment and kept his guns in action. His perseverance and courage under heavy shell fire greatly inspired all ranks.
