Prominent Yachtsman, Turfman, and Soldier Dies in London
LONDON, Oct. 27.-Gerald Paget, .prominent in society, yachting, and turf circles for many years, is dead at the home of his mother, Lady Paget. He was 59 years old. As aid de camp of his brother, Gen. Sir Arthur Paget, he served in the Boer war in South Africa.
Gerald Cecil Stewart Paget was formerly a Captain in the Northumberland Artillery Militia. In the Boer war he served with the Twelfth Battalion of Imperial Yeomanry and won the -Matabele War Medal. In 1877 he married Lucy Anne Emily Gardner, daughter of the late Richard Gardner, M. P. Two daughters survive him. His brother, Gen. Sir Arthur Paget married a daughter of the late Paran Stevens of New York. His father, Lord Alfred Paget, died in 1888.
