Jane Frances Elizabeth, b. 31 July 1824, m. 1st. 19 Aug. 1845, John Horne, Esq., of Thorley Lodge, Herts., who d. 9 Jan. 1850; and 2ndly, 1851, Major Philip Sambrooke Crawley, Capt. Colds. Gds.

All of the authorities are in in agreement that Philip Sambrooke Crawley was married to Jane Frances Elizabeth Paget (Horne) in 1851. (Including The Peerage and Baronetage of the British Empire) And the marriage is confirmed in the BMD. However, By the 1851 Census Collection, Philip was married to Evelyn, who was born in Ireland. Therefore Jane must have died between January-March 1850 and 30 March 1851. It is fairly clear that Jane and Philip were living in Bedfordshire. I believe that the BMD death of a Jane Crawley, registered during the September quarter of 1850, at Leighton Buzzard in Bedfordshire is the date of her death.
