Mr.. J. Paget and Miss Whitaker
The marriage took place yesterday at St. Clement Danes, Strand, of Mr. John Paget, younger son of Major and Mrs. Guy Paget, and Miss Violet Mary Whitaker, only daughter of Captain and Mrs. Percy Whitaker, of The Stone House, Southwold, Suffolk, and 99, Little Cadogan Place, S.W. 1. The Rev. F. C. Woodhouse took the service. The bride, who was given away by her father, wore a close-fitting dress of gold tissue, with a draped neckline and a train cut in one with the skirt. Her long veil of parchment-tinted tulle was held in place by a plaited gold headdress, and she carried a spray of lilies. There was only, one attendant, John Carrigan, who wore long trousers and a short coat of parchment-tinted satin with a georgette blouse to match. Sir Stephen Bull was best man. A reception was held at 16, Bruton Street.
