Served with the 5th Dragoon Guards and was present at the siege of Sebastopol and took part in the charge of the Heavy Brigade, when he was wounded. (Medal.)

Died at Queen's Gate, London, 1 May 1924. She had wished to be buried at Folkestone with her first husband, but this was disallowed on the grounds of not being a parishioner, and she was buried in Kensington Cemetery.

Richard Bolton was born about 1797 at Brooke Lodge, co. Waterford in Ireland and died 15 November 1868, aged 71, at Cheltenham in Gloucestershire.

Jemima Letitia Bomford was born 25 March 1804 and baptised at Saint Mary-St Marylebone Road, Saint Marylebone, London, Middlesex on 24 April 1804. She died during the March quarter of 1877 at Cheltenham in Gloucestershire, aged 72.

Richard and Jemima were married at Bangor Cathedral in Wales on the 12th August 1833.
