The Rev. Richard Lowndes-Stone, of Morden Park, co. Surrey, b. 1790, assumed by R.L. in 1837 the surname of Garth in lieu of his patronymie, d. 1862, m. Mary, dau. of the Rev. Robert Douglas, Rector of Salwarpe, co. Worc., who d. 1849, and had issue.

William Lowndes-Stone, the son of William Lowndes-Stone (1712-1773) and Catherine Lowe, was born about 1753 and died at Farnham in Hampshire on 10 May 1830. He was buried at Brightwell in Farnham.
Elizabeth Garth, the daughter of Richard Garth (1724-1787) of Morden Park, Surrey and Mary Leheup (1733-1780), was born at Morden in Surrey on 4 November 1757 and was baptised there on 1 December of that year. Elizabeth died at Farnham in Hampshire during February 1837.
William Lowndes Stone and Elizabeth Garth were married at Morden in Surrey on 15 July 1775.
